Ingredients:
- 2 sheets ready-made puff pastry (approx. 14 oz / 400g each)
- 6 oz / 170g thinly sliced cooked ham
- 4 oz / 115g shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 oz / 55g cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Everything Bagel Seasoning, poppy seeds or sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Gently unfold puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out to even creases.
- Spread softened cream cheese evenly over pastry. Spread dijon mustard optionally, and then Layer with ham and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C/Gas Mark 6). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the log into ½-inch (1.25 cm) thick pinwheels.
- Place pinwheels on the baking sheet, leaving space. Brush each with beaten egg and sprinkle with bagel seasoning, poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
