Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (113g) Unsalted Butter, cut into cubes
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced (approx. 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 ½ cups (355ml) Heavy Cream
  • ½ cup (50g) Grated Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
  • ¼ teaspoon Sea Salt, or to taste
  • ⅛ teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
  • Pinch of Nutmeg (optional, but highly recommended!)

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  2. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg (if using). Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately.
