Ingredients:
- 4 oz (113g) Unsalted Butter, cut into cubes
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced (approx. 2 tablespoons)
- 1 ½ cups (355ml) Heavy Cream
- ½ cup (50g) Grated Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
- ¼ teaspoon Sea Salt, or to taste
- ⅛ teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
- Pinch of Nutmeg (optional, but highly recommended!)
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg (if using). Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately.
