Ingredients:
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5ml)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt (approx. 1.5g)
- 1 ¼ cups (156g) all-purpose flour, heat-treated
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla extract and salt until well combined.
- Spread the all-purpose flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Let cool completely.
- Gradually add the heat-treated flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in milk until the dough reaches a soft, scoopable consistency.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld and the dough to firm up slightly.
- Scoop and enjoy!
