Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5ml)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt (approx. 1.5g)
  • 1 ¼ cups (156g) all-purpose flour, heat-treated
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract and salt until well combined.
  3. Spread the all-purpose flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Let cool completely.
  4. Gradually add the heat-treated flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in milk until the dough reaches a soft, scoopable consistency.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld and the dough to firm up slightly.
  8. Scoop and enjoy!
