Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 cups (960 ml) cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Roll lemons on a countertop to soften, then cut in half and juice until you have 1 cup of lemon juice.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water. Heat over low heat until sugar dissolves, then cool.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, simple syrup, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  4. Taste the lemonade and add more sugar or water if necessary to adjust sweetness.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  6. Add ice cubes to glasses, pour in the lemonade, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
