Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 4-6 lemons
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 4 cups (960 ml) cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions:
- Roll lemons on a countertop to soften, then cut in half and juice until you have 1 cup of lemon juice.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water. Heat over low heat until sugar dissolves, then cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, simple syrup, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well.
- Taste the lemonade and add more sugar or water if necessary to adjust sweetness.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- Add ice cubes to glasses, pour in the lemonade, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
