Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs sirloin or flank steak
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, dried oregano, and smoked paprika in a bowl until the honey is dissolved.
  3. Place the steak in a Ziploc bag, pour the marinade over the meat, squeeze out excess air, and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
  4. Preheat the grill to high heat (approximately 450°F / 230°C). Remove steak from the refrigerator 20 minutes before grilling.
  5. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes, rotate 45 degrees, and sear for another 3-4 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Transfer the steak to a warm plate, tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
