Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/4 cup taco seasoning
  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions:

  1. Add the raw ground beef to the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the meat and pour in the salsa, lime juice, and beef broth.
  3. Stir gently to ensure the meat is coated, but do not overwork it.
  4. Set the slow cooker to Low for 4 hours or High for 2 hours.
  5. Open the lid and use a wooden spoon to break up any large chunks of beef until the mixture is uniform.
  6. If there is excess liquid, leave the lid off for the final 30 minutes of cooking to allow the sauce to thicken into a glossy glaze.
