Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115g)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240ml)
- 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese (200g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute (avoid browning).
- Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using) to taste.
- Toss with cooked fettuccine (or pasta of choice) until well coated.
- Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked pepper.
