Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115g)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (240ml)
  • 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese (200g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute (avoid browning).
  3. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using) to taste.
  6. Toss with cooked fettuccine (or pasta of choice) until well coated.
  7. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked pepper.
