Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen pierogies (potato and cheese or your favorite variety)
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (optional; can substitute with homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil or butter.
  3. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, approximately another 3–4 minutes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream of mushroom soup (if using), salt, and pepper.
  6. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
