Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and use a meat mallet or rolling pin to gently pound the thicker end until it is a uniform thickness of about 3/4 inch.
  2. Pat the chicken completely dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken to create a seal.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until you see a golden brown crust and hear a slight sizzle.
  6. Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches exactly 165°F (74°C).
  7. Transfer chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil.
  8. Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
