Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 sandwich rolls or buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ranch dressing mix, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the ranch mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, use tongs or forks to shred the chicken inside the slow cooker.
  6. Stir the shredded chicken into the sauce for even flavor distribution.
  7. Spoon the shredded chicken onto the sandwich rolls.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Add optional garnishes such as lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles.
  10. Close the sandwiches and serve warm.
