Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
- Optional: sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Break apart with a spatula until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add in onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and cheddar cheese. Mix well until combined.
- Pour the beef mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with frozen tater tots, arranging them in an even layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve.
