Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
  • Optional: sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Break apart with a spatula until fully cooked.
  3. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Add in onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and cheddar cheese. Mix well until combined.
  6. Pour the beef mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with frozen tater tots, arranging them in an even layer.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve.
