Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (950ml) water
  • 1 cup (90g) ground coffee (medium-coarse grind)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Milk, cream, or plant-based alternative (¼ - ½ cup or 60-120ml)
  • Simple syrup, sugar, honey, or other sweetener (1-2 tablespoons or 15-30ml)

Instructions:

  1. Choose your brewing method (drip, French press, pour-over, etc.) and brew a strong coffee concentrate, using the ratio of water to coffee specified in the ingredient list.
  2. Allow the coffee to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until completely chilled. This prevents melting the ice and diluting the coffee too quickly.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  4. Pour the chilled coffee concentrate over the ice, leaving room for milk or a plant-based alternative.
  5. Add your sweetener of choice (simple syrup, sugar, honey, etc.) to the coffee and stir until dissolved.
  6. Adjust the ratio of coffee to milk/sweetener to your preference. Stir well and enjoy immediately!
