Ingredients:
- 4 cups (950ml) water
- 1 cup (90g) ground coffee (medium-coarse grind)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Milk, cream, or plant-based alternative (¼ - ½ cup or 60-120ml)
- Simple syrup, sugar, honey, or other sweetener (1-2 tablespoons or 15-30ml)
Instructions:
- Choose your brewing method (drip, French press, pour-over, etc.) and brew a strong coffee concentrate, using the ratio of water to coffee specified in the ingredient list.
- Allow the coffee to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until completely chilled. This prevents melting the ice and diluting the coffee too quickly.
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour the chilled coffee concentrate over the ice, leaving room for milk or a plant-based alternative.
- Add your sweetener of choice (simple syrup, sugar, honey, etc.) to the coffee and stir until dissolved.
- Adjust the ratio of coffee to milk/sweetener to your preference. Stir well and enjoy immediately!
