Ingredients:

  • 1 large Russet Potato (10-12 oz / 280-340g), scrubbed clean
  • 1-2 tablespoons Olive Oil (15-30 ml)
  • 1-2 teaspoons Kosher Salt (5-10g)
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Scrub potatoes thoroughly and pat dry. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  3. Rub each potato with olive oil, ensuring the entire surface is coated. Sprinkle generously with kosher salt and black pepper.
  4. Place potatoes directly on the baking sheet. Bake for 60-90 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the center.
  5. Carefully remove the potatoes from the oven. Use oven mitts to handle the hot potatoes. Cut open each potato lengthwise. Fluff the inside with a fork.
  6. Top with your favorite fillings and serve immediately.
