Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (280g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (227g)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (150g)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed (150g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (340g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  8. Scoop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
