Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (280g)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (227g)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (150g)
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed (150g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (340g)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Scoop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
