Ingredients:
- 1 slice sourdough bread (thick-cut), or bread of choice
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning (or more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1 fried egg, to top
- Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Toast the sourdough until golden brown and crispy.
- Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a small bowl (or directly onto the toast).
- Mash the avocado with a fork until you reach your desired consistency. Add lime juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the toasted bread.
- Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the avocado toast. Add a fried egg if desired. Drizzle with olive oil (optional). Serve immediately.
