Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (360g) All-Purpose Flour plus extra for dusting
  • ¼ teaspoon (1g) Instant/Rapid-Rise Yeast
  • 1 ½ teaspoons (9g) Salt
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) Warm Water (around 110°F/43°C)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Pour in warm water and stir until just combined. The dough will be shaggy and sticky.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp tea towel. Let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours. Bubbles should form.
  4. Gently turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface. Form it into a round or oval shape.
  5. Place the shaped dough on a piece of parchment paper (optional) and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Place the Dutch oven (with the lid on) in the oven and preheat to 450°F (232°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven. Place the dough (with the parchment paper if used) into the Dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
