Ingredients:
- 4 cups Mini Pretzels (twists or sticks)
- 4 cups Chex or Crispix Cereal
- 1 ½ cups Salted Mixed Nuts (almonds, cashews)
- 12 ounces White Chocolate Chips
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar (sifted)
- 2 cups Mini Marshmallows
- ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips (for 'coal')
- ¼ cup Orange Candy Melts or small orange sprinkles (for 'carrot noses')
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a very large bowl, gently combine the pretzels, cereal, and mixed nuts.
- Melt the white chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted white chocolate mixture evenly over the dry ingredients. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold everything together until all components are lightly coated.
- Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the coating is set.
- Remove from the oven and immediately transfer the mix back into the large bowl. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes until just warm to the touch.
- Add the mini marshmallows and dark chocolate chips ('coal'). Toss gently again.
- Spread the warm mix onto a fresh sheet of parchment paper to cool fully. Once cool, sprinkle liberally with sifted powdered sugar (the final layer of snow).
- Gently fold in the orange candy melts/sprinkles ('carrot noses') right before serving.
