Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) pure maple syrup
- ½ cup (120 ml) bourbon
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon (2 g) sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon (1 g) black pepper
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to low, allowing it to simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Add unsalted butter and Dijon mustard; whisk until melted and combined.
- Stir in smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze thickens slightly (should coat the back of a spoon).
- (Optional) Strain through a fine mesh strainer for a silky texture.
- Let cool slightly before using or storing.
