Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar (5ml)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (5ml)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (1 ml) (optional)
  • 2 (6-ounce/170g) salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Pat salmon fillets dry. Place on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush salmon fillets generously with the sweet chili glaze. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until cooked through. The glaze should be sticky and caramelized.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately the Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon.
