  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk or dairy-free alternative (such as almond or oat milk)
  • 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) simple syrup or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or flavored syrup (e.g., hazelnut, caramel)

Instructions:

  1. Combine coarsely ground coffee beans with filtered water in a pitcher or jar.
  2. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
  3. Let steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  4. Strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve or French press to separate the grounds.
  5. Refrigerate the brewed coffee for at least 30 minutes to chill before serving.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the chilled coffee over the ice.
  8. Add milk or cream and sweetener to taste.
  9. Stir to combine, add flavorings if desired.
  10. Optional: Top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
