Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) Little Smokies sausages (cocktail sausages)
  • 1 cup (240ml) Ketchup
  • ½ cup (120ml) Brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup (60ml) Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Smoked paprika
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) Red pepper flakes (for a kick!)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet or saucepan, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika (and red pepper flakes, if using).
  2. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gently add the Little Smokies to the simmering sauce.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the sausages are heated through and the sauce has thickened and become sticky, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot.
