Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 4 (6-8 ounce) steaks
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor penetration.
- Remove steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.
- Preheat your grill, skillet, or broiler to high heat. Discard the marinade.
- Cook steaks to your desired doneness, flipping occasionally. Use a meat thermometer to ensure accuracy.
- Remove steaks from heat and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
