Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 (6-8 ounce) steaks

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor penetration.
  4. Remove steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.
  5. Preheat your grill, skillet, or broiler to high heat. Discard the marinade.
  6. Cook steaks to your desired doneness, flipping occasionally. Use a meat thermometer to ensure accuracy.
  7. Remove steaks from heat and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
