Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) honey (preferably raw or local)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) apple cider vinegar (optional, for tanginess)
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt (to taste)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, pour in the honey and place it over low heat.
- While the honey is warming, add the red pepper flakes to the pot.
- Stir gently to combine, allowing the mixture to heat for about 5-10 minutes.
- If desired, stir in apple cider vinegar and salt to taste.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, pour the hot honey through a fine mesh strainer into a jar.
- Let the hot honey cool completely before sealing the jar.
