Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds ground lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the lamb mixture and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  3. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, mint, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Plate the cooked lamb and drizzle with herbed yogurt sauce. Garnish with additional herbs if desired.
