- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for cinnamon sugar topping
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

- Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
