Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 2 cups Bisquick Hearty Sharp Original Mix
- 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 0.66 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 12-cup standard muffin tin thoroughly.
- Place a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground sausage, breaking it into small crumbles. Cook until browned and no pink remains. Drain the meat thoroughly on a paper-towel-lined plate to remove excess rendered fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, shredded cheddar cheese, dried parsley, and the cooked, drained sausage crumbles until the inclusions are well-coated in flour.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the whole milk, beaten eggs, and black pepper.
- Gently fold the liquid ingredients into the dry mixture using a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups. Bake for 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
