Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1¾ cups (420ml) warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 4 tablespoons (60ml) extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Sea salt and cracked pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Add warm water, olive oil, sugar, and salt into the bread machine.
- Pour the flour evenly over the wet ingredients. Sprinkle the yeast on top of the flour (do not stir).
- Close the bread machine lid and select the 'Dough' setting. Start the machine.
- In a small bowl, mix dried herbs, garlic powder, sea salt, and cracked pepper.
- Once the dough cycle is complete, transfer the dough to a floured surface. Gently deflate the dough and shape it into a rectangle.
- Place dough on the baking sheet lined with parchment; press with fingers to create dimples throughout the surface.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the herb mixture over the top.
- Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.
