Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (45g) Rolled Oats
  • 1 tablespoon (7g) Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Milk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Greek Yogurt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Fresh berries (optional)
  • Sliced banana (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Seeds (optional)
  • Shredded coconut (optional)
  • Chocolate chips (optional)
  • A dollop of jam (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mason jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Stir everything together until well combined. Make sure there are no clumps of chia seeds lurking!
  3. Seal the container tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. These Overnight Oats with Chia Seeds needs time in the fridge.
  4. Before serving, give the oats another good stir. They will have thickened considerably.
