Ingredients:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping or heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in powdered sugar, mixing until incorporated. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and well combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese filling over the cooled pretzel crust evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Mix boiling water with strawberry gelatin in a bowl until dissolved. Add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture and stir gently to coat.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture over the chilled cream cheese layer. Chill again until set, about 1 hour.
  6. Slice and serve chilled, enjoying the delightful textures!
