Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping or heavy cream, whipped
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a clean bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in powdered sugar, mixing until incorporated. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese filling over the cooled pretzel crust evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Mix boiling water with strawberry gelatin in a bowl until dissolved. Add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture and stir gently to coat.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the chilled cream cheese layer. Chill again until set, about 1 hour.
