Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if using.
- Split the 4 English Muffins horizontally and place the cut sides facing up on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the passata, tomato paste, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well until smooth to create the sauce.
- Evenly spoon or brush the tomato mixture over the cut surface of each muffin half, leaving a small border clear around the edge. Do not over-sauce.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce on all four halves. Top with a dusting of grated Parmesan cheese.
- If using any additional toppings (like pepperoni or cooked mushrooms), distribute them evenly over the cheese layer.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted, bubbling, and the edges of the muffin begin to turn golden brown.
- Carefully remove from the oven. Garnish immediately with fresh basil leaves, slice carefully, and serve piping hot.
