Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup buttery crackers, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Fold in the cooked chicken until well coated.
  3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the crushed crackers, poppy seeds, and melted butter until combined.
  5. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the top of the chicken mixture. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the topping is golden brown. Check for internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
