Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs (preferably fresh)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (40g) chopped onion
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/3 cup (80ml) ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Mix until well combined; don’t overwork the meat.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan (or shape freeform on a baking sheet).
- In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
- Brush the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
