Ingredients:
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
- Sesame seeds, optional for garnish
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Slice the bell peppers, onion, and mince the garlic. Set aside.
- Preheat the wok or skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add marinated beef to the hot wok in a single layer. Allow it to sear before stirring. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté garlic, onion, bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the wok, add sesame oil, and stir everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, if desired.
