Ingredients:

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, optional for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice the bell peppers, onion, and mince the garlic. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the wok or skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  4. Add marinated beef to the hot wok in a single layer. Allow it to sear before stirring. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté garlic, onion, bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the wok, add sesame oil, and stir everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, if desired.
