Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug (at least 12 oz capacity), whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and sea salt until no clumps remain.
  2. Add the peanut butter, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously from the center outward until the batter is smooth and glossy.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips. Do not stir; let them distribute evenly.
  4. Microwave on high (1000W) for 1 minute and 15 seconds until the top looks set and matte and the cake has risen.
  5. Allow the cake to rest for 2 minutes to allow the steam to settle and the structure firms before consuming.
