Ingredients:
- 12 King’s Hawaiian Rolls (1 pack) (340 g)
- 12 oz Sliced Deli Ham (340 g)
- 6 slices Sliced Cheese (Cheddar, Provolone, or Swiss) (170 g)
- 1/4 cup Sliced Pickles (optional) (40 g)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted (113 g)
- 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard (15 ml)
- 1 Tbsp Yellow Mustard or Honey Mustard (15 ml)
- 1 tsp Dried Minced Onion (5 ml)
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (2.5 ml)
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds (5 ml)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease the baking dish (9x13 inch).
- Use a serrated knife to carefully slice the entire block of Hawaiian Rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange half of the cheese slices evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Shingle the ham over the cheese, and then top the ham with the remaining cheese slices. Add any optional pickle slices now.
- Carefully place the top half of the rolls back over the fillings to complete the sandwich assembly.
- Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, yellow or honey mustard, dried minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds until fully combined.
- Pour or generously brush the butter sauce mixture evenly over the tops of the Sliders, ensuring the sauce drips slightly down the edges and into the cracks between the rolls.
- Rest (Optional but recommended): Cover the dish with foil and let the sliders rest for 5–10 minutes to allow the sauce to soak into the bread.
- Bake (Covered): Bake the sliders, covered with foil, for 15 minutes. This steaming process melts the cheese perfectly without burning the tops.
- Bake (Uncovered): Remove the foil and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the tops are beautifully golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and gooey.
- Slice and Serve: Allow the sliders to rest for 5 minutes before slicing them along the roll seams. Serve immediately while warm.
