Ingredients:
- 4 medium sweet potatoes (about 2 pounds or 900g)
- 1 cup water (240 mL)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (30g)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (25g) or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (2g)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Rinse and scrub the sweet potatoes under running water. Peel (optional) and cut into quarters for faster cooking.
- Place the steamer basket inside the Instant Pot. Add sweet potatoes and pour in 1 cup of water.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot. Ensure the valve is set to sealing. Select the Manual/Pressure Cook setting and set timer to 15 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete
- Use a fork to test tenderness; sweet potatoes should be soft and easily pierced.
- Transfer to a serving dish and add desired toppings before serving.
