Ingredients:
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into small chunks.
- In the Instant Pot, combine chopped apples, water, sugar (if using), cinnamon (if using), and lemon juice.
- Close the lid securely and set the valve to sealing. Cook on manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Allow the pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes, then carefully switch the valve to venting to release any remaining steam.
- Open the lid, stir, and use a potato masher for a chunky texture, or blend with an immersion blender for a smoother consistency.
- Taste the applesauce and adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
