Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 cup cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices of turkey bacon
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, frozen vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole mixture.
- In a small bowl, combine the crumbled turkey bacon, seasoned bread crumbs, and melted butter. Mix until the bread crumbs are evenly coated.
- Spread the topping over the cheese layer in the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
