Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of turkey bacon
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, frozen vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole mixture.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the crumbled turkey bacon, seasoned bread crumbs, and melted butter. Mix until the bread crumbs are evenly coated.
  7. Spread the topping over the cheese layer in the casserole.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
