Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) seedless green grapes, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 1 small honeydew melon, about 2 pounds (900g)
  • 1 pint (570 ml or 1 lb) fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • Optional: Melted dark chocolate (for dipping the tips)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Ensure they are completely dry for best adhesion when creating the skewer.
  2. Cut the honeydew melon in half. Scoop out the seeds. Using a melon baller or a knife, cut the melon into bite-sized cubes or balls.
  3. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Hull them (remove the green stem and leaves).
  4. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers in the following order: grapes, melon, grapes, melon, ending with a strawberry at the tip to create the heart-shaped Grinch ending.
  5. If desired, melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Dip the melon portions of the kabobs in the melted chocolate and let set on parchment paper.
  6. Arrange the Grinch Kabobs on a platter and serve immediately.
