- 1/3 cup (65g) maple syrup
- 1/2 cup (115g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 tsp (2.5g) ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

- Toss the apple slices gently with lemon juice and cinnamon in a bowl until evenly coated; set aside.

- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the batter.
- Spread the batter evenly across the prepared sheet pan.
- Arrange the sliced apples over the batter in an even layer.
- Prepare the streusel by mixing flour, maple syrup, cold cubed butter, cinnamon, and salt until a crumbly texture forms.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the apple layer.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the cake is set.
