Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 package (9-12 oz / 255-340g) refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (approximately 60g) fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Drain off any excess fat.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet with the beef. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in the chopped spinach, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook until the spinach wilts (about 2 minutes).
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss gently to coat everything evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil, if desired. Serve hot.
