Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons (70g) unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing the pan
- 10 ounces (283g) large marshmallows
- 6 cups (170g) Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup (80g) Funfetti sprinkles, plus extra for topping
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter.
- In a large saucepan over low heat (or in a microwave-safe bowl), melt the butter.
- Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir constantly until completely melted. If microwaving, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
- Immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal and sprinkles to the melted marshmallow mixture. Gently fold until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and gently press down evenly with a spatula or buttered hands.
- Sprinkle the remaining sprinkles over the top.
- Let the treats cool and set in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
- Cut into 16 squares and serve these Funfetti Rice Krispies Treats.
