Ingredients:

  • 100g red or green grapes
  • 80g Honeycrisp or Fuji apple
  • 50g fresh blueberries or raspberries
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 50g sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 28g string cheese stick
  • 30g whole grain crackers or mini pretzels
  • 15g sunflower seeds or almonds

Instructions:

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly. In a small bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent oxidation and browning.
  2. Place the grapes and berries into the largest compartment of the bento box. Ensure they are packed tightly so they don't shake around and bruise.
  3. Arrange the cheddar cubes and string cheese coins in the second compartment.
  4. Shingle the lemon coated apple slices next to the cheese.
  5. Place the whole grain crackers or pretzels in the smallest, driest compartment.
  6. Sprinkle the sunflower seeds or almonds over the cheese.
