Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups Frozen Strawberries (225 g), Do not thaw
- 4 fl oz White Rum (120 ml), quality Cuban or Caribbean
- 1 ½ fl oz Fresh Lime Juice (45 ml), freshly squeezed
- 1 fl oz Simple Syrup (30 ml), 1:1 ratio
- 4 cubes Ice (optional, only if berries are not rock solid)
- Lime Wheel or Strawberry Half, for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare and Chill: Place the serving glasses (coupes or martini glasses) in the freezer. Prepare the simple syrup if you don't have it ready (equal parts sugar and boiling water, stirred until clear, then cooled). Measure and freshly squeeze the required lime juice.
- Load the Blender: Pour the liquid ingredients into the blender jug first. This includes the rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup (liquids on the bottom help the blades turn smoothly). Then add the frozen strawberries and the optional ice cubes.
- Blend to Perfection: Secure the lid tightly. Start the blender on a low speed to crush the frozen fruit, then quickly ramp up to high speed. Blend continuously for 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth, resembling a thick slush. Use a spatula to scrape down sides if necessary, and pulse once or twice more.
- Taste, Adjust, and Serve: Before pouring, dip a spoon and taste the mix. Adjust the flavor ratio if needed (add simple syrup for less tartness, or lime juice for less sweetness). Remove the chilled glasses from the freezer, pour the Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri mixture immediately and evenly, and garnish each glass with a lime wheel or strawberry half. Serve immediately.
