Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
- 1 tablespoon White Chocolate Liqueur (for wetting rim)
- 2 ounces Premium Vodka
- 3/4 ounce White Crème de Cacao
- 1/2 ounce Clear Crème de Menthe
- 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup (Optional)
- Ice, for shaking
- 2-3 Small Peppermint Candies (For Garnish)
Instructions:
- Place your coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
- Prepare the Frosted Rim: On a small saucer, mix the sugar and peppermint extract (or finely crushed candy canes). Run the cut edge of a lime wedge or a small amount of white chocolate liqueur around the rim of the chilled glass. Dip the outer edge of the rim gently into the sugar mixture. Set aside.
- Measure Ingredients: Add the vodka, white crème de cacao, clear crème de menthe, and optional simple syrup directly into the cocktail shaker.
- Add Ice & Shake: Fill the shaker 3/4 full with good quality, solid ice cubes. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted.
- Strain and Serve: Discard the ice/water from your prepared martini glass. Double-strain the cocktail mixture into the chilled glass to ensure a silky texture.
- Garnish: Rest the peppermint candies lightly on the rim just before serving.
