Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs (680g) chicken tenders
  • 1 cup (240ml) BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Dip each chicken tender completely into BBQ sauce.
  4. Dredge in breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere.
  5. Place coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  6. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Ensure chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
  9. During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush with extra BBQ sauce for a saucier finish (optional).
  10. Garnish with parsley or green onions (if using) and serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
