Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lbs (680g) chicken tenders
- 1 cup (240ml) BBQ sauce
- 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
- ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
- Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray with cooking spray.
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Dip each chicken tender completely into BBQ sauce.
- Dredge in breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere.
- Place coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
- Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Ensure chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
- During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush with extra BBQ sauce for a saucier finish (optional).
- Garnish with parsley or green onions (if using) and serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
