Ingredients:

  • 1.5 - 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (680g - 907g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons Everything Bagel seasoning (30 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5ml), or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (120 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (30g) (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Trim any excess fat from the chicken thighs. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Everything Bagel seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the Everything Bagel mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  5. Pour the chicken broth around the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. The chicken should be cooked through, and easily shreddable with a fork. (Internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
  7. (Optional) If using cream cheese, shred the chicken with two forks, then stir in the softened cream cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Serve hot!
