Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Thai tea mix (approx. 40g)
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups crushed ice

Instructions:

  1. Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of Thai tea mix. Let it steep for 5 minutes until the liquid is deep burgundy and opaque.
  2. Strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve or cloth filter into a pitcher. While hot, stir in 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 4 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk until completely dissolved.
  3. Fill two tall glasses to the brim with ice. Pour the warm tea concentrate over the ice, leaving one inch of space at the top.
  4. Slowly pour 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk over the back of a spoon onto the top of each glass to create a marbled effect.
