Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) Lean Breakfast Pork Sausage
  • 2 cups (200g) Sharp Cheddar Cheese, freshly shredded
  • 2 cups (280g) Bisquick or similar baking mix

Instructions:

  1. Combine the room temperature sausage and shredded cheddar in a large mixing bowl. Note: Room temperature meat incorporates better with the cheese.
  2. Mix with your hands to break up the meat and distribute the cheese evenly until the mixture is coarsely integrated.
  3. Gradually fold in the baking mix.
  4. Knead the dough gently with your hands until a cohesive, slightly tacky mixture forms.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Use a cookie scoop to form 1 inch spheres.
  7. Place the spheres on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are mahogany colored and the balls feel firm to the touch.
