Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning blend
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large sauté pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle the flour into the pan and whisk until fully combined. Cook for an additional minute to eliminate any raw flour taste.
- Slowly pour in the vegetable broth while whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
- Allow the mixture to simmer gently for around two minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.
- Pour in the heavy cream followed by adding Parmesan cheese and parsley. Whisk continuously until smooth and creamy.
- Cook on low heat while stirring frequently until you reach your desired consistency.
- Finally, taste your sauce and adjust with additional salt or pepper as needed before serving!
